Badminton Japan open canceled Corona impact

The Japan Badminton Association announced on September 29 that the Japan Open, which was scheduled to start on September 22, will be cancelled.

The tournament was one of the world tours in which the world's top athletes participated and was scheduled to be held at Musashinomori Sports Plaza in Chofu City, which is the same venue as next year's Tokyo Olympics. The decision was made in consideration of the situation of immigration restrictions from overseas and measures to ensure the safety of athletes and related persons, as a countermeasure for new coronavirus infectious diseases.
