On February 25, FA Products, which handles smart factory construction and smart energy introduction support services, announced that it will start a P2P power trading demonstration project using Digital Grid Platform [DGP] provided by Digital Grid in collaboration with Mirainect and others. . Aim to start operation in 2020.
In this project, FA Products will be the managing company, with Miranect [service provider], digital grid [DGP operation and system development], Nitto Kogyo [DGC board and power supply equipment], Tokukura Construction and Sakata Construction [construction work] Company participates. It is said that this is the first attempt to trade electricity between private companies without going through the electricity company.
With FA Products as the managing company, Mirainect [service provider], Digital Grid [DGP operation and system development], Nitto Kogyo [DGC panel and power supply equipment], Tokukura Construction and Sakata Construction [construction work] will participate.
According to Yoshikazu Kida, President and CEO of FA Products, "Improving the energy self-sufficiency rate has been a long-standing issue for Japan, which has scarce energy resources. Recent advances in blockchain technology have made it possible for individuals to trade electricity. In the era of electricity, the wave of digitization is rushing here. We want to gain a track record and create a new renewable energy market. "
Overview of P2P electricity trading
実 証 This demonstration experiment demonstrates the relative power trading between a supplier [power generation company] and a consumer [power customer]. DGP system verification, extraction of issues, consultation with power transmission and distribution companies regarding power transmission and distribution, and making connection results. In addition, the company aims to certify environmental value transactions, establish a service provider system that serves as a point of contact for suppliers and consumers, and manufacture and improve related products such as the digital grid controller [DGC] required to access the DGP. The power supply will maximize the use of solar power, and its installed capacity is planned to be 150 kW.
This project will be the 1st phase, and after the completion of the project, as the 2nd phase, network contracts such as demonstration of smart contracts between multiple suppliers and consumers on DGP and extension of renewable energy supply time using a power storage system, etc. The company will move on to the verification steps necessary for expansion. The construction of a power plant and the establishment of a DGC are scheduled for July and August, and verification testing will begin in late August.
デ ジ タ ル Digital Grid, a DGP operation and system development company, was established in 2017. By linking a power generation company with its own power supply and a power demanding company at the P2P level on the DGP, it will be possible to buy and sell power easily.
