The Petersen Automotive Museum will hold Petersen Carweek from 12-16 August 2020. The week-long event includes over 25 hours of original content.
Every day during this period, you'll be able to see original content from manufacturers, collectors, car lifestyle events and auction houses online. The video will be split into one hour episodes and premiered on Petersen's YouTube channel [www.youtube.com/user/petersenmuseum].
Wednesday, August 12th – 10am-6:30pm PT
Following the Monterey Carweek tradition, it will be kicked off Wednesday by McCall's Motorworks Revival. Gunther Werks and BMW debut the car, while Donut Media, The Torque Show, and Top Gear BBC will premiere unprecedented video content.
Thursday 13th August – 8am-1pm PT
On Thursday, one of the most anticipated vehicles in 2020 will be the Gordon Murray-designed T.50 supercar. The day will also feature a Futurecollector Car Show hosted by Classiccars.com, several private garage tours, and an exclusive discussion with Tudge Juchter on the Corvette C8.
Friday 14th August – 8am-5:10pm PT
On Friday, three virtual car shows hosted by Legend of Autobahn, Porsche Owners Club of America, and Quail Motorsports Gathering will be highlighted. The day will also include a walk-around of the new Koenigsegg Gemera and the 2021 BMW M8. Garage and factory tours are conducted by RUF and HRE wheels.
Saturday 15th August – 8am-4:30pm PT
Saturday will include two virtual shows [Concorso Italiano and Exotics on Broadway] to celebrate motorsport history at the Sonoma Speed Festival and the Weathertech Raceway Lagunaseca. Sonoma Speed Festival will release POV track footage from the 2019 event. Laguna Seca will unveil "A Lap Through the Ages" for the first time, featuring famous circuits from different eras of racing.
Sunday 16th August – 6am-2:15pm PT
On Sunday, the Petersen Competition will be held. Highlighted classes such as American Classic Open & Closed, European Classic Open & Closed, Ferrari GT, post-war sports car, movie car, off-road, hot rod, shooting break. Ford announces Ford GT. Peter Malan, Dennis Verni, David Lee and Barris Customs touring garage.
