Facebook is testing cross-posting of stories to Instagram-Engadget

Instagram
Facebook has started testing some users to cross-post photos posted to the story to Instagram. The ability to cross-post from Instagram to Facebook stories was released in October 2017, but this time in the opposite direction.

Jane Manchun Wong, an app researcher with a reputation for finding features in reverse engineering, has been found in the privacy settings and will be shared to Instagram Stories when enabled.

Facebook has since confirmed that it has officially tested TechCrunch. Facebook and Instagram may have different viewers and followers, so they are testing this feature to make it easier to share certain content.

However, while followers may be different, if you follow both, you may see the same story many times, but it is unknown whether measures will be taken against it .
