FE 20mm F1.8 G large-aperture single focus lens suitable for shooting starry skies Sony

Sony announced on February 26 the ultra-wide-angle lens "FE 20mm F1.8 G [SEL20F18G]" for the mirrorless camera "α" series. It is a large-diameter lens compatible with full size, and has a lightweight and compact design. It can express a point light source without distortion and is suitable for shooting stars. The price is 128,180 yen [excluding tax] and will be released from March 13.

Super wide angle single focus lens for full size with focal length of 20mm. The lens configuration consists of 14 elements in 12 groups. Two advanced aspherical AA [advanced aspherical] lenses and three ED [special low dispersion] glasses are placed at optimal positions to suppress various aberrations such as color fringing. With high point-image reproducibility, it is effective in shooting starry nights and night scenes. Nano AR coating suppresses flares and ghosts, resulting in clear, clear images.

The lens focus drive unit is equipped with two XD [eXtreme Dynamic] linear motors. High-speed and high-precision AF operation is possible, and the quietness is high, making it suitable for movie shooting. The lens barrel is designed to be dust and drip proof, and the front surface of the lens is coated with a fluorine coating that resists dirt.
