Hamilton wins 91st total pole position

On August 1, F1 Round 4 British GP qualifying was held and Mercedes AMG's Lewis Hamilton took pole position. 91th time in total.

While teammate Bartelli Bottus showed a good start, Hamilton suffered from the car's behavior, and in some cases he had a spin in Q2 and interrupted the session with a red flag. However, in Q3, he rebuilt and took the pole position by making a big difference to his fellow friend Bottas in both attacks.

"It was a big gap with 3rd place, but it doesn't matter. It was a difficult qualifying session because Valteri [Bottas] pushed to the maximum until the end and the wind changed everywhere and the machine became unstable. I had to spin myself up in every attack run, but I had a spin in Q2, but in Q3 I'm glad I could extend the time with the first and second runs."

Although Red Bull Honda improved the unstable machine behavior that it suffered in the previous race, Max Verstappen barely reached the third place with 1.022 seconds difference, and Alexander Arbon was defeated in Q2 in 12th place.
