How to make a still image while preserving "Live Photos" taken with iPhone

The iPhone-specific photo format “Live Photos” is just like “moving photos”. Since 1.5 seconds of video and audio before and after the shutter is released are recorded together with the still image, the amount of data is large, but it is possible to express movements that are impossible with still images. Another advantage is that it is difficult to miss a photo opportunity, and the modest shutter sound does not bother others.

With such Live Photos, there is no benefit for users who use non-Apple products. If you install an application, it will not be impossible to play, but it is not supported as a system standard function, so it will be treated as a normal motionless photo (JPEG / HEIF).

Live Photos with large data volumes are often shunned by the same iPhone user. You can automatically create a still image when attaching it to an email, but it may be more convenient to save the still image separately. If you save it separately, the original Live Photos will remain intact, so you won't have to regret later.

To save the still image part of Live Photo separately, tap the share button ((↑)) at the bottom left of the screen with the target Live Photo open, tap “ Duplicate '' of the share sheet, Select "Replicate as normal photo". Since the part set for the key photo is converted to a still image, you can also take advantage of Live Photos, which have a decisive moment in the video part.
