Huawei has shipped over 6.9 million 5G smartphones-Engadget

Huawei announced last year (2019) that it shipped more than 6.9 million 5G smartphones worldwide. Although 5G has not started commercial service in Japan, many countries in Europe, the United States and Asia have already started.

According to the announcement, Huawei announced the following 8 models of 5G smartphones in 2019.

・ PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 30 RS
・ HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G)
・ HUAWEI nova 6 5G
・ HUAWEI Mate X
・ Honor V30 Pro
・ Honor V30

Samsung and LG, which also have 5G smartphones, adopt Qualcomm's 5G modem, while Huawei has developed its own 5G modem. It supports both NSA (non-standard) and SA (standard) 5G networks.

Huawei's base in China, 5G commercial service began in November, and shipments may have increased significantly at that time.
