LIFULL is proposing how to find a new home. The Android app "Flying Holmes-kun," which was developed and announced as a prototype in September, allows you to freely fly over the city and perform virtual previews, creating a new sense of "room search" using VR.
"Flying Holmes-kun Android version"
Flying Holmes is LIFULL's R & D department "LIFULL Lab", a research and development type company Holo Lab that connects real and virtual using the latest technology, and technology and design company Designium based in Tokyo and Aizuwakamatsu. , Jointly developed. It was unveiled at the LIFULL booth of "Real Estate Tech EXPO Kansai Exhibition" held in Osaka from September 9th to 11th.
LIFULL started the project "Madori2VR" in 2016 to automatically analyze the floor plan and generate a room for a 3D model. In 2018, he worked on "Flying Holmes-kun PC version" that converts not only the room but also the city itself into 3D data, and in 2019, "Flying Holmes-kun Android version" that can be experienced only with a smartphone. In response to the growing need for non-face-to-face and non-contact, which is spreading due to the spread of the new corona infection, it is said that the prototype of the flying Holmes-kun Android version was unveiled this time.
The map is generated by applying LIFULL's original texture to the Google Map data, and reproduces the height information of the building and the shape of a symbolic building such as Tokyo Tower. A mechanism that displays properties with rental information and allows you to enter the room by clicking. In addition to being able to grasp the size of the room, by searching for properties from the sky, you can also find out the surrounding environment, such as the presence of shops and the proximity of a park.
Map of the city. It is said that a soft color was adopted to match the image of LIFULL.
Basic information such as rent, floor plan, and how many minutes it takes to walk from the station is displayed when searching from the sky.
In the PC version, you can search for a room from the sky more realistically by installing the HMD. You can look down on the city from the sky, look for a property, enter it, and enjoy looking for a room as an attraction. In each case, basic information such as the usual floor plan, age, and number of square meters is also prepared.
I actually entered the room. You can move the room you want to see by clicking the floor plan on the upper left.
In addition to the floor plan, you can also grasp the appearance, indoor photos, basic information, etc.
Although it is in the prototype stage, it is said that the 23 wards of Tokyo and some areas of Osaka have been converted to 3D. In the future, we will improve the accuracy of AI analysis and build a more accurate 3D room from the floor plan. It is also possible to change the light of the day entering the room according to the time, and to reproduce the slope on the map.
We will solve the restrictions of previews by proposing new forms, such as not being able to go to see the property to move to a distant city, or wanting to do more previews but not due to time constraints. I want to.
