Audi will set up a limited model Audi TT Roadster Final Edition with enhanced interior and exterior functions and equipment based on the premium compact sports Audi TT Roadster, and will start selling from September 15 through Audi regular dealers nationwide ..
The first Audi TT was born in 1998. It can be said that the simple and advanced styling that faithfully recreates the concept car and combines straight lines with a circle as a motif had a great impact on the automobile design at that time. It is still reminiscent of the world-famous German art school Bauhaus, a design concept. For about 22 years since then, the TT series has continued to evolve for three generations, but in 2020 the TT Roadster will be discontinued.
This final edition is limited to 50 units. It is based on the quattro model TT Roadster 45 TFSI quattro. The 2-liter in-line 4-cylinder turbo engine equipped with the engine delivers a high output of 230ps/370Nm. It has both excellent driving feeling with plenty of room and high environmental performance.
A lot of special equipment reminiscent of the first TT is adopted, including common items with the world limited car "TT 20 years" released in 2019. The exterior color is nano gray metallic, a special color reminiscent of the Dolomite gray used in the concept car of the TT Roadster. In addition, it is equipped with a dedicated 5-spoke 19-inch aluminum wheel with a simple design that takes the wheel of the first TT into consideration.
In addition, S sports seat with electric adjustment function bolster, armrest, center console, etc. are unified with brown moccasin leather with yellow stitching. In addition to the use of Drift Anthracite decorative panels, the seat side and center consoles are given anthracite fine paint finish. In addition to this, comfort packages including driver assistance systems such as Audi side assist and rear view camera, matrix LED headlights, air scarves, sound system of Bang & Olufsen who worked on the interior parts of the first TT, etc. The content has a high rarity value.
In addition, Audi Japan is co-sponsoring a traveling exhibition “Bauhaus 100 Years Opening, Bauhaus — Fundamentals of Art Education”, which has been held since August of last year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus. The final exhibition will be held at Tokyo Station Gallery from July 17th [Friday] to September 6th [Sunday], 2020.
