National Stadium unveiling “Sora no Uta” top corridor

The National Stadium [Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo], the main venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, was unveiled in the media on the 15th.

Following the completion ceremony attended by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and others, the inside was revealed. The stand was divided into three layers and the uppermost corridor called “Sora no Uta” was shown.

The stadium has 5 floors above ground and 2 floors below, and will be completed on November 30 with a total construction cost of about 156.9 billion yen. On the 21st, opening events such as Usain Bolt, a short-distance on land, and the popular group Arashi stage will be held. The defeat of the competition will be the final of the Emperor's Cup on January 1 next year. At the Tokyo Olympics, track and field women's finals will be held.
