The Organizing Committee of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games held a meeting in Tokyo on March 17 and announced that the motto of the tournament was "United by Emotion." The motto is a rule consisting of three to five English words. It will be posted on venues, street decorations and websites. Although the Japanese translation is "I am impressed we will be one", the Organizing Committee does not use Japanese externally.
“In the era of 2020, the division is progressing in every aspect. At the Tokyo Games, it will be a stage for athletes to record, and at the same time, a stage for coexistence that knows and recognizes differences. I believe that it must be a solid step in a symbiotic society, and condensed them all into the motto of the Games, "he said.
