US Qualcomm revealed the specs of the 5G-compatible high-end mobile chipset "Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform" announced the day before at Snapdragon Tech Summit held in Hawaii on December 4 (local time).
Snapdragon 865 does not have a built-in 5G modem and is configured in combination with the “Snapdragon X55 5G Modem-RF System”. Qualcomm appeals the platform as "providing the best 5G mobile experience for the next generation of flagship devices." The on-board device will begin to appear in the first quarter of 2020.
