On January 23, Ricoh announced the HD PENTAX-D FA 70-210mmF4ED SDM WR telephoto zoom lens compatible with full-size SLR cameras. It will be released from February 14. The price is 155,000 yen [excluding tax].
Telephoto zoom lens with a focal length of 70 to 210mm. When attached to the APS-C SLR, it is equivalent to 107-322mm. The lens configuration consists of 20 elements in 14 groups. Three special low dispersion [ED] glass elements and two extraordinarily low dispersion glass elements are used. Chromatic aberration / distortion / coma aberration is corrected, and a high-contrast description with excellent resolution is obtained.
The lens coating uses "HD coating". The average reflectance in the visible light range is suppressed to 50% or less than before. As a result, the reflection is reduced and the transmittance is increased, and the occurrence of ghost and flare under conditions such as backlight is effectively suppressed.
SP coating is applied to the front of the lens to prevent dirt such as fingerprints. The lens barrel has a drip-proof structure to prevent water droplets from entering the inside of the lens. By combining with a drip-proof single-lens reflex camera, you can shoot in environments such as rainy weather or fog.
Other features include a "quick shift focus system" that allows manual focusing after focusing using AF, and a "focus range limiter" that limits the focus range in two steps to reduce AF time. The main specifications are as follows.
- Aperture: F4
- Minimum aperture: F32
- Minimum focusing distance: 0.95m
- Maximum magnification: 0.32x
- Number of diaphragm blades: 9 [circular diaphragm F4-9.5]
- Filter diameter: 67mm
- Maximum diameter x length: about 78.5mm x about 175mm
- Weight: about 819g [about 859g with hood]
