Sigma announced on November 6 that it is developing a large-diameter standard zoom lens "24-70mm F2.8 DG DN" for full-size mirrorless. Designed exclusively for mirrorless, it features high drawing performance and reduced size and weight. There are two types of mounts for Sony E mount and L mount, both of which have no release date or price.

  • A large-diameter standard zoom lens "24-70mm F2.8 DG DN" for full-size mirrorless, announced by Sigma. Sony's α7 series and α9 series users are likely to become anxious lenses

An interchangeable lens designed exclusively for mirrorless, with a completely new design compared to the “24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM” large-aperture standard zoom lens for full-size SLR cameras. The size and weight were reduced while ensuring uniform optical performance to the periphery. Unlike the single-lens reflex camera version, it does not have an in-lens image stabilization mechanism.

The shortest shooting distance is 18cm on the wide side, and you can shoot close to the hood tip. The shortest shooting distance on the tele side is 38cm. The lens is equipped with a dustproof and splashproof mechanism, as well as a zoom lock mechanism. It also supports Sigma's original mount exchange service.

The maximum diameter of the lens is 87.8mm, the length is 122.9mm, and the weight is about 835g [dimensions are those of the L-mount version]. Because it is about 1,020g [sigma version] for single-lens reflex cameras, the weight was reduced by about 185g.
