Redmi series is a sub-brand like Hunor's Honor series, which is a product group that focuses on cost performance for young people. It is also a flagship product in the Indian market where Xiaomi has a particularly high market share.
"Redmi Note 9S" will be sold for SIM-free market. It is expected to be in a price range close to the entry class in Xiaomi's lineup for Japan. The performance is relatively high, and the chipset is equipped with Snapdragon 720G. Memory storage is available as 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM or 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM. The main camera is a quad camera [4 cameras] specification centered on 48MP, and it also supports shooting scenes such as super wide angle and macro. The design does not adopt a curved display like the Mi Note 10 Lite announced at the same time, but it has a large 6.67 inch liquid crystal display. The in-camera has been punched to achieve a screen occupation rate of 91%.
The back is designed with asymmetry centered on the camera [symmetrical], and gorilla glass 5 of brand glass is used on both sides to give consideration to the texture. Color variations are available in Interstellar Gray, Aurora Blue and Glacier White.
The price will be announced at the presentation on June 2, but Xiaomi's representative said, "I am confident that it will be the best cospa product in the Japanese market." For reference, an equivalent model is sold in the Indian market for Rs. 16,999 [about 24,000 yen]. In addition to the LTE compatible frequencies being optimized for models introduced into the Japanese market, it is also necessary to support various certifications, which may result in additional costs.
